The WSSU Department of Housing and Residence Life Announces Partnership with Metropolitan Village 

We are thrilled to announce our new partnership with Metropolitan Village, expanding our off-campus housing opportunities for our WSSU students for the 2024-2025 academic year! This brand-new townhome property minutes from campus aims to provide secure, comfortable, and convenient living arrangements, helping our students academically and socially thrive.

This opportunity is available for all qualifying students who are:

  • Currently enrolled and have an existing Housing Assignment
  • Currently enrolled and do not have a housing assignment
  • Newly Admitted and desire Off-Campus Housing Accommodations
  • Please note that Ram Residents who live in our townhome properties must abide by our rules, regulations, and student code of conduct, including but not limited to room checks, RA/Staff guidance, HRL processes and procedures, etc.

Eligibility Requirements for The Station Ram Residents 

Classification: Junior, Senior, Graduate Students  

GPA: Minimum 2.8 

University Standing: Must be in good standing with the University Conduct/Civility Office. 

All students interested in staying at Metropolitan Village must complete the interest form via the WSSU Housing Portal. Students without a housing assignment and Newly Admitted students must complete a housing application and pay the $135 Application fee in addition to the interest form.

Students in need of Housing but do not meet the outlined requirements for WSSU @Metropolitan will have an opportunity to apply for newly available on-campus housing as space permits. We ask that you remain patient with our team as we work to transition and place students quickly.

Timeline and Key Milestones

November 8th, 2024 : Interest Form Opens for Juniors, Seniors, and Graduate Students  

*The Metropolitan Village Interest form is available via the Housing Portal! Log in using your WSSU Credentials. The interest form will remain open until all bed spaces are filled. 

*Applicants who wish to be roommates should submit an interest form and Housing Application, if applicable, within 24 hours of one another to ensure roommate grouping.  

November 18th, 2024, 3:00 pm: Virtual Interest Meeting via Zoom (Registration Required)
 
November 29th, 2024: Spring 2024 Assignments will Begin
*Assignments are rolling until beds are filled.

December 3rd, 2024 at 4:00pm: Mandatory Metropolitan Ram Residents Meeting

January 4th ,2024: Move-In Day

  • New Ram Residents: 8:00 am – 1:00 pm
  • Returning Ram Residents: 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm

  • Kitchen, Living Area, Washer & Dryer Units
  • Fully furnished
  • A & B Units (Standard Single Unit): $5,508 per semester ($11.016 per academic year)
  • C Unit (Deluxe Single Unit): $5,758 per semester ($11, 516 per academic year)
This includes a property parking pass, utilities, and 24-hour emergency maintenance.
