Biomanufacturing Training Program

- Winston-Salem State University is hosting a FREE two-week in-person biomanufacturing training course.
- This program will help prepare you for an entry-level position in biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
- The two-week in-person course runs from Monday, July 8 to Friday, July 19.
- Classes are held Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Trainees must be present and engaged in every session of the in-person course.
- Trainees are required to complete five online modules before the in-person course begins.
- The deadline to complete the online modules is June 28.
Earn Your Certifications
After completing the two-week free course, the trainees will earn several certifications in biomanufacturing, including an advanced certificate in biopharmaceutical manufacturing.

Requirements
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
- Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Applicants must be residents of North Carolina.
- It is preferred that applicants live in tier one or tier two counties. Please visit the tier rankings chart to see if your county qualifies.
Application Process
- Submit your application by June 1, 2024.
- You will receive a confirmation email.
- The decision will be made by June 4 and communicated to all applicants.
- Twelve trainees will be admitted to the first class/cohort of the program.
- The course will be offered again in Fall 2024.
Accepted Trainees Must Complete Five Online Modules
- Trainees who are accepted to the program must complete five (5) online modules before starting the in-person course.
- The modules are self-paced and intensive.
- The deadline to complete the modules is June 28.
In-Person Training July 8-19
- The two-week in-person training will take place on the Winston-Salem State University campus in the Wilveria Bass Atkinson Science Building, 1370 Cromartie Street.
- All trainees are required to be present and engaged in the in-person course each day, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Please note that WSSU does not provide housing for the in-person training.
- Trainees will receive additional details about logistics and parking in future emails.
