The Winston-Salem State University RAMCard is used by all university students as their official university identification. The RAMCard is used as a pre-paid card for campus business services such as ARAMARK meal plans, remote campus dining locations, vending machines, access to athletic events, University Recreation Center (UREC) and summer camps.
The initial card is issued free of charge. The student Banner ID number and a photo ID is required to obtain the initial RAMCard. The student must come to the RAMCard Services office to take the required photo and to receive the card. No hats or caps are allowed on the picture.
The Card
If you need to place a hold on a lost or stolen card, please send an email to ramcard@wssu.edu. If a stolen card has been used, please send a report to campus police. The RAMCard "replacement" fee is $20.00 and is paid for in the Student Accounts office located in Thompson Center #200. This fee must be paid before a replacement card is issued. The receipt is required by RAMCard Services for verification and will be dated and stamped.
To pay for a replacement RAMCard you can purchase a new card online. Please bring proof of payment to the RAMCard Office to receive your replacement card.
If a student has a damaged card that needs replacement, the damage card fee is $5.00. This includes broken cards, chipped, faded, etc. Students must have their current damaged card present in order to qualify for the $5.00 damage card fee.
You can now upload your photo for your new RAMCard ID through the mobile GET App. Download the GET App from your mobile App Store, Select WSSU as your institute, and login with your RAM ID username and password for this unique experience!

Your RAMCard ID can be picked up at the RAMCard Office located in the Thompson Center, Room 203, 48 business hours after receiving email confirmation of photo acceptance. Please have your government photo ID or combination of birth certificate & social security card available when picking up your RAMCard.

Adding Money to Your Card
Money can be added to your card at the Student Accounts office located in Thompson Center room #200. If you go to Student Accounts office you must make your payment there then take your receipt to the RAMCard Office in Thompson Center 203 to complete the transaction. Funds can only be added to the RAMOne account, not the declining balance accounts that are directly related to any meal plans.

The GET™ Mobile App Allows You To:
- View and manage your RAMCard account.
- Get information about your account balances and spending history.
- Make deposits to your RAMCard using a credit card. You can use a desktop or mobile device to make deposits.
- Allow family members to make deposits to your account. They will just need your RAMCard identification number and your birth date in order to complete the transaction.
GET Mobile is “always on” so if you discover that you need money late at night or early in the morning, you or your family members can deposit funds right away. Your RAMCard account will be automatically replenished and ready to use again.
Students
Student cards are de-activated at the end of the Fall and Spring semesters and during the Spring Break. The card is activated and/or re-activated based on enrollment and/or re-enrollment.
Distance learning students primarily use the RAMCard to purchase books, the $10.00 technology fee must be paid each semester to activate the card. The fee can be paid in the Student Accounts office located in Thompson Center #200, or an email can be sent to ramcard@wssu.edu with the Banner ID number included requesting that the fee be charged to the account.
The RAMCard can be used to purchase books online or in the on-campus Barnes & Nobles bookstore. Students can check the Students Accounts website for additional information on online book vouchers.
Faculty and Staff
Academic and administrative buildings are unlocked between the normal operating hours of 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. If an employee needs additional access, their Director or Supervisor must submit a Ram Tech ticket for access. The email must include the employee’s name, last four numbers of their banner ID number, the days and hours of additional access needed.
RAMCard Services is locates in Thompson Center 203, Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 noon and then from 2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
