I am pleased to announce Dr. Breonte Guy has been appointed to serve as interim Chair of the Department of Psychological Sciences. Dr. Guy, Associate Professor of Psychological Sciences, joined WSSU in the fall of 2014.

I am pleased to announce Dr. Rachelle (Shelly) Barnes has been appointed to serve as the interim Associate Dean of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences.

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Jerrell W. Robinson, who has been selected to serve as the Associate Dean of New Student Experiences and Undergraduate Engaged Learning in University College, effective August 1, 2023, after a national search.

After a national search, I am pleased to announce that Dr. Tony Artimisi has been appointed the Associate Provost of Academic Strategy and Institutional Effectiveness effective July 1, 2023.

After a national search, I am pleased to announce that Dr. Shawn Holt has been appointed the Associate Provost of Research and Innovation effective July 17, 2023.

I am honored to serve as the Chancellor during the 2023-24 academic year. I realize the responsibility before us to execute the audacious vision of our founder, Dr. Simon Green Atkins, who created an institution where every student would meet the challenges of the day equipped with an education designed to prepare the “head, hand, and heart.”

Deputy Chief Kelly White recently graduated with great distinction from the 286th session of the FBI National Academy. This momentous occasion took place on June 8, 2023, at the renowned National Academy in Quantico, Virginia.
