WSSU student Rajah Caruth to be featured in RiverRun International Film Festival

WSSU Motorsports Management student Rajah Caruth is the focus of Jack Gordon's “Outside Line,” a documentary short film. Making its North Carolina debut at the RiverRun International Film Festival, the film chronicles Caruth’s journey from virtual racing driver to professional driver in NASCAR’s national touring series. “Outside Line” is shown as one of three short documentaries in the North Carolina Shorts Program 3: Winston Stories.

The screening takes place 5:30 PM Friday, April 21 at Hanesbrands Theatre located at 209 N Spruce Street in Winston-Salem. Tickets are $10 for students and $12 for all others. More information and tickets are available at online.

WSSU chancellor presides over historic commencement ceremony

Winston-Salem State University celebrated its fall graduates during commencement Friday, Dec. 13. More than 500 students became alumni, ready to depart to serve, during the historic ceremony that was presided by the university’s first female chief administrator, Chancellor Bonita Brown.
