THE INSTALLATION OF BONITA J. BROWN, J.D.
Winston-Salem State University’s 14th Chancellor
Friday, September 19, 2025 | 10 a.m.
Benton Convention Center | Winston-Salem, N.C.
The installation ceremony for Bonita J. Brown, Winston-Salem State University's first female chancellor, is a momentous event that marks a significant milestone in the university’s history.
This ceremony is designed to celebrate and honor the achievements of our new chancellor while reflecting on the vision and leadership she will bring to the institution. The event is a celebration of empowerment, progress, and community.
The purpose of the celebration is twofold: to formally install the new chancellor and to unite the campus community and the city in recognition of this historic achievement. This event provides an opportunity for students, faculty, staff, alumni, local leaders, and community members to gather and acknowledge the collective strength and shared future of the university under her leadership.
All events during the installation celebration are open to the public.
