Get ready to start your journey as a Ram! Ramdition is our official orientation program for new students—whether you're a freshman, transfer, or post-traditional student. This is your chance to connect with fellow Rams, explore campus life, and discover the amazing services and resources available to support you at WSSU.

Below is a quick overview of the Ramdition schedule. A detailed version with dates, times, and locations will be sent to you—so stay tuned!

Make sure that you are Ram Ready and cleared for Ramdition by going to the Spring Admitted Students web page.

Saturday, January 4

Move-In for newly admitted freshmen and transfer students.

Move-In for students living in Metropolitan Village.

Sunday, January 5

Meet your Legacy Leader and get to know your new classmates

RAMDITION SPRING 2025 OVERVIEW

Monday, January 6 & Tuesday, January 7

Get to Know Campus

Get to know WSSU with a campus tour and presentations from a Student Services Panel that will cover topics such as parking, housing and residence life, student accounts, financial aid, health services, and the counseling center.

Technology Platform Party

Learn about EAB, Canvas, Banner, MyWSSU, and Degree Works platforms.

Academic Support Services

Find out more about services including the writing center, free tutoring, the reading center and library services.

Advising

There will be time for student to get advising if needed.

Student Support Services

Engage with helpful staff who will introduce you to Title IX, interpersonal violence prevention services, community standards and civility, and disability services.

Tuesday, January 7

Through the Archway Ceremony

The Through the Archway ceremony is a time-honored tradition where incoming students walk ceremonially through the arches to celebrate their transition from “lambs” to Rams.

First day of classes.

Ram Ready Steps

Make sure that you are Ram Ready and cleared for Ramdition by going to the Spring Admitted Students web page.

  1. Apply for On-Campus Housing & Pay New Student Programming Fee
  2. Become Immunization Compliant
  3. Submit Final Transcripts (graduating high school seniors only)
  4. Pay Your Bill
