Summer Scholars
The Summer Scholars Program is one component of the NC-MSEN Pre-College Program and is designed to provide mathematics and science enrichment year-round to underserved rising 6th -12th graders. The Summer Scholars Program covers mathematics, science, English, and enrichment. The program’s mission is to prepare students for entrance to a four-year college/university and careers in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and teaching (STEM).
Students complete a two-week program where they are actively engaged in hands-on mathematics, science, and technology activities and enhance their communications skills, critical thinking, and writing ability. Furthermore, students take educational field trips, interact with guest speakers, and participate in community-related experiences.
The NC-MSEN Summer Scholars Program will admit a limited number of students on a first-come first-serve basis. In order to be considered for the Summer Scholars Program, students MUST complete and submit an application. Payment pricing is available on the front page of the application.
