COVID-19 Communication to WSSU Campus
A potential COVID-19 exposure has been identified in Brown Residence Hall. The University is taking precautionary steps to prevent possible further transmission of COVID-19 and will have all students residing on the second floor undergo COVID-19 testing and quarantine. Student Health Services will be at the residence hall on September 15, 2020, at 9 a.m. to begin testing that specific floor. Residents on additional floors will be afforded the opportunity to get tested at SHS.
The Office of Emergency Management and Student Health Services has maintained control of the situation. This scenario is NOT considered a cluster outbreak. The actions being taken are out of an abundance of caution. Students residing in Brown Residence Hall pose no additional threat to campus. Everyone is asked to continue to be mindful of our community standards and practice good hygiene.
Any student concerned about potential exposure or is exhibiting COVID-19 systems should contact Student Health Services at 336-750-3301. Employees with the same concerns should contact your primary care physician.
If you have additional concerns, please email questions to coronavirus@wssu.edu.
