WSSU Red Sea of Sound to perform at LA Clippers HBCU Night presented by AT&T
Winston-Salem State University’s Red Sea of Sound Marching Band will take center stage at the LA Clippers HBCU Night presented by AT&T on Thursday, April 2, at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.
The Red Sea of Sound will perform during halftime of the Los Angeles Clippers vs. San Antonio Spurs game, showcasing the energy, precision and tradition that have made the band a signature of the WSSU experience.
The event celebrates Historically Black Colleges and Universities through a full evening of programming, including live entertainment, alumni engagement and in-arena recognitions. WSSU’s participation marks the university’s first performance at Intuit Dome, placing the Red Sea of Sound on a national stage in front of thousands of fans.
“This is an incredible opportunity to highlight the talent and tradition of our Red Sea of Sound on a national platform,” said Dr. Michael Magruder, director of bands. “Our students represent the very best of Winston-Salem State University, and we are proud to share that excellence with a broader audience.”
HBCU Night presented by AT&T is designed to celebrate HBCU culture through immersive experiences across the arena, from pregame programming to halftime performances and in-game recognition moments. The Red Sea of Sound’s halftime performance will serve as a featured highlight of the evening.
Known for its high-energy performances and musical excellence, the Red Sea of Sound plays a central role in campus life and community engagement at WSSU.
