WSSU Police earn 'gold standard' accreditation
The Winston-Salem State University Police and Public Safety earned its fourth reaccreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA), the recognized gold standard in public safety accreditation.
WSSU Police Chief Amir Henry received the certificate on Nov. 16.
This significant accomplishment underscores their unwavering commitment to excellence, professionalism and adherence to best practices in law enforcement.
This milestone reflects the dedication and hard work of every department member, and highlights their steadfast focus on serving and protecting the WSSU campus community with integrity and accountability, Henry said.
