WSSU now offers students free online tutoring
Winston-Salem State University (WSSU) is partnering with UpSwing, an online tutoring and coaching platform, to provide students with access to 24/7 tutoring.
“We’re excited to offer online tutoring to help our students succeed,” said Dr. Derick Virgil, Associate Dean over Academic Services in University College and Lifelong Learning (UCaLL). “This partnership will provide students access to support beyond our hours of operations. Now, students can receive help with their classes wherever they are, at any time. This is especially beneficial to our online and distance learning students but also to any WSSU student who needs extra help.”
The service becomes available Jan. 11.
Virgil says with UpSwing, there are hundreds of coaches available in almost any subject. The service is available at no additional cost to all currently-enrolled WSSU students. Faculty are encouraged to announce this service to their students, he said.
